About Kauffold Agency, Inc.

The Kauffold Agency began in 1955 when William A. Kauffold bought into the Hahn-Rummel Agency in Sebewaing, Michigan. Under William, the Kauffold-Hahn Agency thrived in the Sebewaing and greater thumb area for many years. Bill Kauffold joined the agency in 1970, followed by Randy Kauffold in 1979. The growing agency acquired the Robert McLean Agency in Caseville, Michigan in 1985.

William A. Kauffold passed away in November 1991. Bill and Randy bought the agency from their father in 1991 and have continued to grow the business, purchasing the Raymond Fiebig Agency in Sebewaing in 1992 and the Bailey Agency in Pigeon in 2003. In 2010 the Caseville location was moved to the Pigeon office.

The Kauffold agency presently has offices in Sebewaing and Pigeon.

The Agency is a member of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) and the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA). The Agency holds a Total Quality Agency (TQA) Designation. Few agencies in the state hold the TQA Designation.

Kauffold Agency Staff

Bill Kauffold
Bill joined the agency in 1970. He works as an agent mainly in charge of commercial lines and agency administration. In 1985 he received his Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation. His hobbies are hunting, fishing and golfing.

Randy Kauffold
Randy joined the agency in 1979. He primarily is in charge of personal lines -- including homeowner, auto and farm. He also assists in the administration of the business. Randy obtained a Total Quality Agency (TQA) designation for the agency in 1999. His hobbies include golfing, motorcycles and reading.

Jody Smith
Jody started with the Kauffold Agency in 1991. She holds her agents license, obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 1994 and received her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2000. Jody handles customer renewals and endorsements, accounting and claims. She is also responsible for maintaining computer technology and company enhancements. Jody's hobbies include reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.

Lynette Kauffold
Lynette joined the agency in 2006 and works part-time in the Sebewaing Office. She assists in policy renewals, endorsements and claims. Lynette enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her three children.

Bonnie Richmond
Bonnie joined the agency in 2010 and she manages the Bailey Agency in Pigeon. Along with many hobbies, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her children.
